OMG! Did you see that Olympics opening ceremony? It was spec-frickin-tacular!

Oh, yeah, I'm back from New York. And that wedding? It was okay. The dress I wore? Not so great. Ugh ugh ugh. But anyway! Back to what's important!

That was such a beautiful ceremony! Everything was so PRECISE! The dancers forming the perfect circle? So incredible. And the lighting of the torch? That was super creative, it almost brought tears to my eyes!

Almost. As in... actually didn't. Yeah, I don't cry.

And Michael Phelps is SO AMAZING! It's almost like he's winning most of USA's gold medals. My brothers think he can't possibly be human, but pfft, he practices, he's great at what he does. Nothing superhuman about it!

HOMG YES! End of this month, the family and I are taking a trip to NEW YORK CITY! OMG, it's going to be so great being back there, even if its just two weeks. The original motive for going was to look at the universities there but the new motive is apparently a wedding invitation from a relative who's like related by a few generations and I probably never heard of them who lives in Queens.

Eww, I have to wear a dress again!

But other than that ONE day, afterwards, I'm free to chill anywhere and everywhere. I'm probably gonna try to go back to my old neighborhood and seeing if any of The Boys (my old friends from elementary school) still live there. Not that I'm really having high hopes of seeing them there because everyone eventually moves away but.. yeah.

But, YEAH! I won't be gone for too long so hopefully the boyfriend jhgkjdfhgkjdfhg I'M CALLING HIM THAT AHAHAHA HOW COOL SFSDGF won't get too lonely. LIKE HIS DRUM LULZ

Dear Erik,

I miss you. Why are you such a GUY sometimes
This is ridic

Just look at all the pretty options! I actually have yet to choose what I really want to do though. Uhh.. journalism, most likely?

I have a feeling I'm just looking at it just for the sake of going to the college in New York City. BUT CAN YOU BLAME ME IF I MISS IT?

Whatever.. I have time to think about it. Right now, I'm bored again. Ryan, I think we should have another race.

Aww, man. I'm really going to miss writing my articles! SCHOOL'S FINALLY OVER! WE'RE SENIORS NOW, HOLY CRAP!

I so want to go back to New York for a week or two. It's not like I'm going to be getting some summer job here, and I miss it SO SO MUCH. Central Park was always one of my favorite places. Another was the park in Fresh Meadows. I wonder if anything big has really changed.

Ooh, hey, I should definitely look into colleges there. If I get into NYU or something, that would be kick-ass awesome!

I wish I could try out half those rides too. They look fun.

So I was looking through some of my pictures from this whole school year since last summer and I found a bunch of pictures of all four of us, and then some individual ones.

AND THEN I FOUND THIS ONE:

Weee! )

You glanced up but I bet you had NOO idea I took that. I'm so sneaky.

This is an attempt to cheer you up by the way, because I'm pretty sure the stupid rumors about the track team and I annoyed you. AW YOU'RE SO SWEET!

VIII - second assignment [( 8 May 2008 // 1:22 )]
My best friend is Erik René d'Herblay. He is a junior here at Apple Creek, for those of you who never heard of him. He is an awesome person and an even more awesome friend. He is in the marching band, his birthday is in February, his favorite color is navy blue, and he likes chocolate ice cream.

Erik and I met in middle school. I was new in town, since I moved here from New York City after I finished sixth grade over there. It was in the seventh grade. We had science class together. And since we were seated next to each other (the arrangement was made by our teacher), we ended up as partners whenever there was a project or a lab assignment. So, we pretty much met the first day of school... and then later that day at lunch. Everyone seemed to know each other and I felt like an outcast so I sat alone. I was already in a lousy mood because I left a bunch of close friends in my old neighborhood when we moved. Erik apparently saw me and he came over to give me company.

The rest is history! We became close, he introduced me to Pete and all his friends, and I introduced him to my brothers. It was like I had replacements for three of my closest friends in New York except I haven’t forgotten about those guys.

I think the most amusing memory we have is one day in science class when we had to demonstrate our lab involving test tubes. Erik I’m sure it was him miscalculated the ingredients and it started to foam! We thought it was normal at first until it started to overflow. I tried to turn off the bunsen burner but I apparently had no idea what I was turning (I’m not very good with science classes). The end result was a test tube exploding.

Good thing we had goggles on, yeah? Anyway, it was pretty embarrassing at first because everyone was staring at us, and we could only stare back. We had a good laugh afterwards, though.

Erik is an only child. He and his family have lived in Louisiana since before he was born. He loves music, especially the drums, so he took up the spot of being the drummer when he and his friends formed a band. He’s very dedicated. Besides music, he also likes video games and Punk rock bands. Whenever I have a new game shipped over, I always call him over so we can play the first game.

We look out for each other. Like I mentioned before, I’m not that great with science, so I think he, as my lab partner this year once again, helps me in getting the grades. Who needs a tutor when I have Erik? I also help him out too. If I see him gravitating toward the wrong crowd (or rather a wrong non-trustworthy individual), I go out of my way to warn him and keep him from harm. I think I have pretty good judgment skills to help him with that. Like the one time, he met this girl and I knew she wasn’t good. And he was FLIRTING WITH HER. But I told her to back off or I’ll have my boys throw sticks and rocks at her

And that is Erik d’Herblay in a nutshell! There is so much more to tell about him, but oh, you can’t possibly know the great things just through my words. But of course, I do plan on including pictures so you can get to meet him. As long as you don’t mean any harm to him. And if you don’t plan on STEALING HIM AWAY FROM ME!

The Pictures! )
